Blogiversary Bash 2015: Abbi Osbiston

…And then the party raptors showed up.

In the midst of all of this lovely Blogiversary celebrating (see the archives right here for all of the awesome posts so far), I am actually celebrating one more thing–my birthday! It’s kind of crazy thinking about how much things have changed from my last birthday to this one. New place. New job. Way too many new movies. 😉 But it’s been a good time. And I couldn’t ask for a more lovely birthday present today than to have the ridiculously cool Abbi Osbiston over here with another one of her epic gif tributes. Abbi’s blog is full of wonders that include film reviews, recipes, and her now legendary Top 10 lists. If you haven’t been out to see her yet, you don’t know what you’re missing. Take it away, Abbi!

Last year for Cara’s amazing Blogiversary Bash I did a tribute to 10 Things I Hate About You in animated gifs. I really enjoyed doing that so I have decided to continue in the same vein by sharing with you Everything You Need to Know about Everything is Illuminated in 15 animated gifs.

Everything is Illuminated is my favourite film of all time. Essentially it’s a culture clash road trip movie about a somewhat odd Jewish-American young man who engages the services of a Ukrainian man and his grandfather (and the grandfather’s “mentally deranged” dog) to find the woman who helped his family escape the country during the Holocaust.  Along the way there is humour, tragedy, beauty and darkness and ultimately the search for truth. Not that many people have seen it but I am hoping these gifs might inspire more of you to.
