I’m thrilled that several people have gotten into this NOOOOvember series, but, sadly, all good (bad?) things must come to an end. But it simply wouldn’t be right to go out with anything less than a bang. So rather than rewatch another disappointing film and subject you to all the gory details, I decided to address several of my memorable letdowns all at once. Continue reading

NOOOOvember 2013: A Tim Burton Remake Double Feature!
Hey there, friends! So you’ve gobbled your turkey dinners and you’ve bludgeoned strangers for bargain items at various Black Friday sales. What now? How about some disappointment?! That’s right–it’s time for another NOOOOvember film review! Actually you’re in for a treat because this time you get two reviews for the mere viewing of one post! It’s Black Friday, so I feel I have to offer up some kind of deal, too. Continue reading
ISAACS INTERVIEWS: SILVER SCREEN SERENADE
YAY!!! I recently answered some delightfully silly and hilarious questions from my buddy Mr. Eric Isaacs over at Isaacs Picture Conclusions as part of his Isaacs Interviews series. If you haven’t looked into the series yet, you need to change that because all of them are so funny it should be illegal. Eric and I talked about everything from break room fridges to Jesus to handerpants. Yes, handerpants. You’ll see.
NOOOOvember 2013: Spider-Man 3
Just a few more days of disappointment left! How will this blog go on without these wretched, wretched films?! Well…I’ll have to manage. Maybe go back to reviewing good films, I guess. If you think you might’ve missed out on some of the other wonderfully terrible failure films of NOOOOvember, just check into the Archives, where you can find more reviews from me and several much-loved contributors. Continue reading
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire: a dazzling sequel
I feel like I’m late to the party with this one. WordPress has simply exploded with Catching Fire reviews the last several days! And I’ve been paying close attention to those reviews. Widely regarded as the best book of the Hunger Games Trilogy (I can’t comment on that since I’ve only read the first two), I had pretty hefty expectations for the Catching Fire film. Those expectations only grew upon seeing the many positive remarks critics and fellow bloggers had to share. Continue reading
Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special: The Day of the Doctor
I couldn’t help myself. Between seeing a new trailer for the third season of Sherlock and celebrating Doctor Who’s 50th birthday, I simply had to let my geek flag fly by writing up a little something about the Day of the Doctor special that just aired. Well, it actually aired several long hours ago, but I just now watched it online (shhh don’t tell). Continue reading
NOOOOvember 2013: Lockout
We’ve already had several fantastic posts for NOOOOvember 2013 (all of which you can view in the Archives), but now the wonderful Miss Table9Mutant over at Cinema Parrot Disco has decided to join the fun and vent about one of her biggest film disappointments, Lockout! I was curious about this film, but now…eh. I think Table9Mutant has convinced me to stay away. Read on, oh disappointed friends! Continue reading
The Sunshine Award!
How exciting! After being nominated for a Liebster Award a while back, my blog has now been picked for a Sunshine Award! A big thank you to my new friend, Alex Raphael, for the nomination. If you haven’t checked out his entertainment, travel, and lifestyle blog, be sure to go have a look! He’s got some truly awesome stuff over there. 🙂 Continue reading
Premiere Particulars: Almost Human
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these! I guess this late in the season it’s strange for any shows to be premiering, but Fox’s Almost Human just finished its first couple episodes—one on Sunday and one last night. How was this new sci-fi cop drama? Here are the particulars. Continue reading
NOOOOvember 2013: The Hangover Part II
Another day, another disappointment. Though the month is already more than halfway done (seriously, can you believe December is less than two weeks away?!), there are still a slew of disappointing films out there worth adding to NOOOOvember. If you’d like to see the movies covered in the series so far, simply check out the NOOOOvember 2013 Archives, where you can find reviews from myself and several beloved contributors. Continue reading
