Hi, guys. So, first of all, I would like to apologize profusely for disappearing for…let’s see…yikes–nearly three months. It was pretty uncool of me to drop off for so long without any warning. That said…I’m probably about to disappear again. And this time, it could be longer.

Hi, guys! Well in case you haven’t noticed, I’ve fallen disgustingly behind on my movie reviews. Granted, I really haven’t seen a ton of stuff lately, but I’d hoped to keep up with my reviews better than this. Shame on me! Still, I thought of an easy way to remedy my lack of prompt review-writing.

Alright, kids. Time to get back to these movie reviews! I’ve got these two and another pair that definitely need to be discussed. And so much coming out soon! This last month-and-a-half of the year is gonna be jam-packed with movie goodness.

Duets: Fantastic Four and Ant-Man

Happy Friday, everybody! Remember earlier this week when I was all, “I have the best Duet pairing EVER comin’ atcha!” Well, here we are! Within just a few weeks of each other, two superhero films hit the big screen like a ton of bricks. Hmm. Maybe that’s not the best way to describe it.

Duets: Self/less and Inside Out

Little by little I’m getting caught up on all these summer movies I’ve been meaning to review! In fact, as of this moment, I don’t have ANY NEW MOVIES in line to review!!! …But I will after this weekend. Lol. Anyway, I wanted to knock these two films out with another one of my Duets.

Jurassic World: dino might or dino meh?

This…this is something I’ve been looking forward to, you guys. Jurassic freaking World. As a child of the ‘90s, the Jurassic Park films mean a lot to me. I was too young to go see the first film in theaters, but I distinctly remember playing with toy dinosaurs for a large chunk of my childhood, and I am positive this had everything to do with Jurassic Park.

Duets: Tomorrowland and What We Do in the Shadows

Well, it was bound to happen eventually. In this movie pairing, you will find my first real disappointment of the year. It’s a major bummer—especially because the film I’m referring to made this list of 25 films that caught my interest for this year.

Mad Max: Fury Road: it’s a mad, mad, mad, mad movie

For me, Mad Max: Fury Road was a very surprising addition to my summer movie line-up. I’d never seen any of the Mel Gibson Mad Max films (still haven’t), and I thought the trailer looked way too bizarre for my taste. So I wrote it off, gradually becoming more and more annoyed each time I saw one of the increasingly crazy trailers.

Avengers: Age of Ultron: Earth’s Mightiest Sequel?

There are many nerdtastic movies to look forward to this year—Jurassic World, Spectre, Mockingjay – Part 2. Oh, and some little film called Star Wars or something…? 😉 But the big kick-off for 2015’s nerdy movie line-up was undoubtedly the much anticipated sequel to Avengers.

Duets: Snowpiercer and The Guest

The Duet review strikes again! I’ve been doing a lot of these lately, haven’t I? I promise I’ll be back to my more traditional, thorough review format very soon—saw a new movie that I’m itching to talk about—but for now I’ll discuss a couple of fairly new releases. One of these I really dug, and the other was a smidge disappointing.
