Apologies for the absence most of last week! It was busier than I thought it’d be. Okay, so my intention was to make Jessica Jones into another one of my Premiere Particulars, but then I started writing and I couldn’t NOT talk about the series as a whole. Because I may have polished off the whole season in a week. Continue reading
Okay, guys. I’ve been failing at discussing a whole bunch of premieres, so I recently thought, “Hey, Cara, why can’t you just do a big ol’ giant post talking about a whole bunch of them?” And then I thought, “You know what, Cara? That’s not a bad idea!” Because these are the conversations I have with myself. Continue reading
Time to double up on discussing premieres again! There are just so many to talk about right now! Today’s TV shows have actually released a couple of episodes at this point—which tells you how much of a backlog I’ve got going right now. I’ll get around to them all…eventually. Continue reading
That’s right, kids—we’re discussing TWO premieres today. Because I’m crazy like that! Or, you know, just because a loooot of premieres are rolling out over the next month or so, and I need to cram a few of them together. And I am all too thrilled today to discuss a couple of really solid premieres. Continue reading
I am PSYCHED for the season three premiere of Hannibal tonight. In honor of that, here’s a review I did of the first season last year.
Holy cow! I have let my TV reviews slip in a big way. I got so preoccupied with my blog series, premiere episodes, and movie stuff that I haven’t done a review of a whole show since September…Whoopsie. But I’m back to it now, and I’m actually hoping to knock out several reviews of my favorite TV shows over the next few weeks.

So here we are, right in that awkward few weeks/month following the season finales of many of our favorite shows and right before the start of the summer shows. I don’t know about you guys, but Outlander, iZombie, and Game of Thrones have been the only shows left for me to cling to lately. Continue reading
You know, the next time I have the nerve to doubt Marvel, I should really just slap myself. Because I didn’t think The Avengers would work, and I was kind of uncertain about Guardians of the Galaxy, too. But we all know how those worked out. Even so, when I saw the trailer for ABC’s Agent Carter mini-series, I was all, “Meh. Looks kinda boring.” Continue reading
A pretty man singing silly songs in a medieval comedy? I mean, how could I possibly miss that?! That’s right—ABC’s Galavant had its premiere a short while back, and I was kind of eager to see if it’d strike the right chords with this TV fan (har har musical puns). Have you been looking to fill a TV gap on Sunday night? Continue reading
We’ve toured the Murder House, we’ve checked into the Asylum, and we’ve had a magical time with the Coven. Now, the tent is officially open for the Freak Show. I was super amped up for this season of FX’s American Horror Story not only because last season was the best season yet (in my humble opinion), but because I find the idea of a freak show particularly interesting—maybe due to my affinity for HBO’s short-lived Carnivàle, which has a somewhat similar vibe.
