For me, Mad Max: Fury Road was a very surprising addition to my summer movie line-up. I’d never seen any of the Mel Gibson Mad Max films (still haven’t), and I thought the trailer looked way too bizarre for my taste. So I wrote it off, gradually becoming more and more annoyed each time I saw one of the increasingly crazy trailers. Continue reading
I know I just did one of these a little less than two weeks ago (see that geektastic post here), but GAWD there’s been so much more nerdy news since then! I’ve been dying to talk about so many things with my fellow movie/TV buffs, and I couldn’t wait any longer to do it. So put on your Batman cowl, your Spock ears, your one ring to rule them all, or whatever else you need to get in the spirit…because it’s time to geek. Continue reading
Good day and a very warm welcome to the kickoff of NOOOOvember 2014!!!! Unlike my last series, which celebrated movies we love, this series is all about movies we expected to love, only to be let down by the end of them. Lord knows we’ve all experienced that. For my next Genre Grandeur guest review, I present you with a review by Cara from Silver Screen Serenade. Cara has a great blog and whats more, she has great ideas for blogathons. Her Nooovember and Resolutions posts were amazing. Check out her site if you don’t already.
Here’s a review of Cara’s favorite Thriller – Inception (2010).
Take it away Cara….
“You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.” – Eames
Number of Times Seen – Not totally sure. I know I saw it in theaters three times. All in all, this was my sixth or seventh viewing at the very least.
