Genre Grandeur July Finale – The Abyss (1989)

Genre Grandeur – Signs (2002)

MovieRob is at it again with another excellent month of Genre Grandeur! I actually picked the theme this month, which is all about alien movies. If you guys haven’t already joined in, don’t fret–you still can! Type up a little something and send it Rob’s way by Friday, and you can be a part of the fun. Genre Grandeur – Iron Man (2008)

I know I don’t normally post twice in one day, but the awesome Mr. MovieRob put up my review of Iron Man, and I couldn’t resist! Genre Grandeur is still going strong–you have until the 25th to send Rob your comic book movie write-up! I definitely recommend participating. It’s very fun. 🙂

Genre Grandeur – Ocean’s 11 (2001)

The awesome Mr. MovieRob was kind enough to let me participate in his epic Genre Grandeur series. This month’s theme was crime. My choice? Ocean’s Eleven, of course! For our next Genre Grandeur -Crime entry, I present you with a review by the reigning Shitfest champion, Cara from Silver Screen Serenade.  If you don’t already follow here site, I strongly urge you to do so immediately.  Cara’s blog has some amazing stuff, she has run 3 amazing guest series (so far) in the last few months alone (Noooovember, Resolutions and her most recent April Fools), she always finds cool and funny videos related to famous actors (mostly from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon) :), she runs Schuster Sister Shenanigans where she and her sister text each other while watching classic films, is a new parent to Miguel (a love child between her and Eric of the IPC) and she has an occasional movie review (just kidding, she does this more often that one would expect.

Genre Grandeur – Inception (2010)

The awesome Mr. MovieRob recently sent out a request for reviews for his cool new series, Genre Grandeur. The series will hone in on the best of the best in a different genre each month, but the focus for March is thrillers. Naturally, I couldn’t resist writing up a little something about Inception.
