Today is a bittersweet day. See, on the one hand, it’s the final guest post for this year’s Blogiversary Bash, which is quite sad. But on the other hand, we’re ending a spectacular run of guests with something I have been looking forward to ever since future Oscar nom Luke Abbott released this little teaser of his post for this series. That’s right. Oracle of Film is closing out the guest portion of all this with a bang because Luke has crafted another epic original video. Luke–whose site consists of movie, TV, and gaming review goodness that you simply must go check out–has made something of a habit of contributing videos to my blog, which I am 1,000% cool with because his videos are wonderfully random and fun and hilarious. This one’s no exception. Watch the above video, y’all. Luke, you’re the greatest.
And since we’re closing out the guest portion of this (I’ll officially end the series tomorrow with a post of my own), I thought I’d go ahead and take the time to thank all of the beautiful, clever, and generally awesome people who decided to take part in this year’s Bash. In order of appearance, I would like to thank…
- Bethany of Coolsville for sharing her love of The Edge
- Adam of Consumed by Film for apparently stealing an epic top 10 sequel list directly from my brain 😉
- Nuwan of No Nonsense with Nuwan Sen for not only bringing Audrey Hepburn to the party, but bringing cake, too
- Anna of Film Grimoire for pulling together a groovy top 10 list of movies from 1973
- Abbi Osbiston for “illuminating” us with her gif tribute to Everything is Illuminated
- Table 9 Mutant of Cinema Parrot Disco for using the insults of Stand by Me to make an awesome top 10 list
- Kim of Tranquil Dreams for putting us into cuteness overload with a top 10 list of the best Disney animal characters
- Drew of Drew’s Movie Reviews for compiling an impressive list of his favorite movie quotes
- MovieRob for making us use the Force to remember these minor Star Wars characters (Sidenote: If you’d still like to take a stab at that challenge, email your answers to CaraLuvsLucas@movierob.net by tomorrow)
ReekItEric of The IPC for somehow crawling out of his dungeon to discuss not just his favorite movie/TV things, but his favorite life things- Zoë of The Sporadic Chronicles of a Beginner Blogger for discussing some of the best book-to-movie adaptations of all time
- Jordan of Epileptic Moondancer for talking about his top 10 films by director Terry Gilliam
- And, of course, Luke of Oracle of Film for that bit of genius you watched above
Wow. I just counted 13 guest participants in this whole shindig. I can’t believe so many of you guys took the time to come party with me!!! Words cannot describe how grateful I am. You are the best, and I ❤ you mucho.
THANK YOU ALL and see you tomorrow!!!!!!! 😀
I should get on this…
For next year? Yeah probably… 😉
That video was amazing.
Cheers, Vinnieh. Was very fun to make.
I can see that, you got some serious moves there.
Luke is the greatest.
He most certainly is.
FUCKING AMAZING!!!
I guess I need to brush the dust off of my pelvis and get back to work!
You’re always welcome in Satrap’s act.
HA!!
I’m sure you’d have something to offer.
Heck yes you do!!!

P.S. WTF is an “albatrouse”?
I don’t think anyone knows.
I just assumed it was another word for “Abbott.”
#Abbotraoz
Albatross. I think it’s how it’s said in their country.
Your country.
Lol. No, the English say albatross. It’s not an English song! 😉
In the song, they spell it Albatraoz. ;P
Okay – this is what I found on Wikipedia. You’ll wish I hadn’t looked it up! Lol 😉 It’s a Swedish song. From Wikipedia: Ekberg raps about a mouse that she refers to in a vulgar way. No mouse or albatross is shown during the video. The word albatraoz is a made up word, created to reference an albatross and the group itself. Mouse is also a play on words, as the Swedish for mouse is ‘mus’, which also means vagina, or pussy.
Look at you doing your research! Lol.
awesome stuff Luke! this was a great party to be a part of
Cheers, Rob. The idea for this one has been knocking around for a while now.
Happy you decided to take part, my friend! 🙂
Tnx
Sorry, this one was so delayed. I did plan to have it ready for the opener. I am happy you chose me to close it instead. Now, I just need to plan Year Three. Hmmm…
Omigosh. Give yourself a break, man!!! Seriously Luke, thank you so much. It’s amazing and hilarious and perfect.
You are too kind. I think some of my dancing is illegal in some of the States near you
It might actually be illegal in all 50 States, yes.
What a fitting end to a great series. Could have had more tentacles though.
Those Abbotts are into some freaky stuff… 😉
The piece of paper wasn’t very clear, but it did have a couple of tentacles, some penis-style jet planes (you did ask for some Liam penis drawings) and in red pen, ‘What if Cara was Illuminati?’
PENIS TENTACLES!
So THAT’S what that said. I meant to ask about that. Also, how did you guys find out about my checkered past…?
Ha! Very nice Luke (and Luke’s brother). 🙂
What an amazing video! Love the dance breakdown at the end. Classic.

TENTACLES! EVERYWHERE! And a helicopter!
This was great. I had a particular laugh with the incredible moves in the Abbott family! And the customised clothing. Gotta love it!
Really, it’s shocking that the Abbotts haven’t nabbed an Oscar yet.
