Hey, kids! So I’d intended to have something else ready for you today, but…well…it’s not ready. Haha. However, during the Arrow finale yesterday (which was awesome), The CW aired a teaser trailer for their upcoming Flash series. Not gonna lie, this got me kind of excited not only for The Flash, but for any Flash/Arrow crossover episodes that may come out of this. Because let’s be real: that HAS to happen. Anyway, check it out and see what you think!
I have no idea what is happening here.
Hey, guys! So I got to thinking last night about how I wanted to do another series at some point this summer, but I had no clue what to write about or when to do it. Then, my thoughts drifted to the fact that my one-year blogiversary is sneaking up (June 21), and an idea began to form. Continue reading
So last night I decided to give Showtime’s Penny Dreadful a shot. Aside from the thumbs up it had received from my buddy Eric, the very little that I’d read about it, and a vibe that vaguely reminded me of The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, I knew nothing about what I was getting myself into. Nonetheless, I held off watching my beloved Game of Thrones to give it a chance. Was it worth it? Well, let’s talk about the particulars. Continue reading
It’s not often that a pure comedy will spark my curiosity. Of the 20 Films I expressed interest in seeing this year, I guess only three of them (this, 22 Jump Street, and Horrible Bosses 2) would be considered pure comedies (unless you count The Lego Movie, but I tend to lump animated films into a different category). Well-done comedies seem especially hard to come by—perhaps even harder to ferret out than well-done horrors Continue reading
Warning: this is complete and utter silliness, and I readily admit that. However, I also admit that it made me laugh. I didn’t have time to write up a true post, so instead I thought I’d share something somewhat related to the film I’m going to see tonight: Neighbors. Two of the film’s stars, Seth Rogan and Zac Efron, stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a skit in which they play the most ridiculous teenage girls you’ve ever seen. Continue reading
Pre-Miguel New York City
I don’t usually delve into personal stuff on here, but as most of you who were keeping up with the April Fools series probably know, I recently returned from visiting my sister, Laura Jo (my Schuster Sister Shenanigans partner), in New York City. It was a lovely visit, and we both had fun. But I made one giant mistake: I took Miguel with me.
Hi, guys! So I’m being lazy today and posting another video, but this is actually something I’ve been anticipating for some time–a trailer for Fox’s upcoming crime drama Gotham, which will follow Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) prior to becoming commissioner of Gotham City (Batman’s domain). I have really high hopes for this one, and I’d love to see DC with another TV hit on its hands (because The CW’s Arrow is freaking amazing). Continue reading
Hello and HAPPY STAR WARS DAY! However you choose to celebrate, I do you hope you enjoy yourself. Personally, I recommend reading some Star Wars texting shenanigans or watching the above awesome, adorable Lego video. Or, you know, getting serious and watching all of the movies. Your call. 🙂
Well, here we are—just one month after the release of the fantastic Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Marvel is at it again with everybody’s favorite Webhead, Spider-Man. Forgive me for the abundance of superhero film reviews lately—there’ll be one more coming (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and then there ought to be a break from them. Until Guardians of the Galaxy in August, anyway. Continue reading
Hey, kids! No time to write anything up for today, but I wanted to get a little something fun out rather than have a big ol’ fat nothing, so I thought, “Why not an awesome lip sync battle featuring Emma Stone?” That’s right: lip sync battle. Every now and then Jimmy Fallon has them on his show, and earlier this week he decided to duke it out with Miss Stone. And she KILLS IT. Continue reading
