I have no idea what is happening here.
Hey, guys! So I got to thinking last night about how I wanted to do another series at some point this summer, but I had no clue what to write about or when to do it. Then, my thoughts drifted to the fact that my one-year blogiversary is sneaking up (June 21), and an idea began to form. See, I tend to write about new films more often than not, but I’ve been wanting to look back and write reviews for some of my personal favorites–I just hadn’t figured out how I wanted to approach that yet.
So here’s what I’m thinking: instead of sending lavish gifts of wine and jewelry for this blogiversary (because I’m sure that’s what most of you were planning), I ask only this: let’s talk about our favorite movies! I want to hear about the films you can watch over and over again and never tire of. I’ll probably just write reviews for mine (unless I’m inspired to do something else), but you are welcome to send me any form of contribution dealing with your favorite(s)–reviews about them, original poems or songs praising them, original videos reenacting them–hell, I’ll even take fan fiction! This is a party honoring our favorite films, and I want you to celebrate them as you see fit.
Plenty of time to mull this over. I’ll probably cover the first two days (June 21-22) with a pair of posts, but after that I’d love to share whatever you guys send my way. If possible, I’d like to have your contributions by no later than June 20 (but you know me–if that’s a stretch, I’m sure I can accept them shortly after that). This sounds like big time fun! And I’m all about the big time fun. I also find joy in the smaller time fun, but you know what they say, go big or go small…wait, I don’t think that’s right.
On a side note, may I please address the crazy picture you’ve chosen to pair with your post? More specifically, the cat. He looks like he’s stomping and clapping to some hillbilly jamboree, and it’s completely thrown my world off-kilter. I mean, everyone knows cats like jazz, right?

Of COURSE I want you in on this, Mutant!!!! Gees like there was ever a question!!!! Lol. As for what to do, that is 100% up to you. You can talk about one you’ve already reviewed, and you can talk about it however you like. Sky’s the limit. 😀
