Philip Seymour Hoffman Found Dead
So I know I just posted something, but JESUS guys…Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his apartment today. He was 46.
It was only a couple months ago that we heard about Paul Walker, and now this…Honestly, I haven’t seen Hoffman in much, but he’s great in Red Dragon and Mission Impossible III, and I recently saw him as Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire–a role that was supposed to continue into Mockingjay Pt. 1 and 2.
Hate to hear this. He was an Oscar-winning actor with a lot of great performances under his belt and so much potential.
The link at the top has the details, though there’s not really much out there at this point. Sorry to bring you such grim news. 😦
That is a significant loss for the film world.
Tragic news! I always hope that these news releases are a hoax. And I agree on the loss for the film world as well as his family/friends.
r.i.p.
still remember some of his earlier performances like in Scent of a Woman (1992) and Nobody’s Fool (1994)
Way too young. 😦
The saddest part is how it happened. The guy has been so successful, but we lost him to heroin. Heroin…..
(Found in the washroom with the needle in his arm. I know it has not been confirmed but I doubt it could have been anything else).
Very sad! I loved Hoffman. I actually saw him and John C Reily in “True West” at The Circle in the Square Theatre. They were both phenomenal! He will be missed. He was one of the few true actors out there. He always took the challenging roles and never really cared about how big the film was. He just loved to act and it showed.
He left behind some wonderful films, and would have done doubtless great ones in the future. A big loss.

It’s sad – I always liked the guy…
